Capacity building of civil society organisations and the media in Kenya on private security governance
A two days capacity building workshop for civil society organisations and the media was held in Nairoby on 10th and 11th of March 2020 on private security governance. Objectives of the workshop were:
- Build the Kenyan Civil Society and Media’s capacity to engage in the topic and challenges of private security.
- Build a national network of CSOs and Media who oversee the private security sector in Kenya, encouraging regular discussions and exchanges in between them.
- Encourage multi-stakeholder discussions amongst the various actors playing a role in the governance of private security, to be able to address challenges around the private security industry.
