About

New Nigeria Foundation (NNF) was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigeria with Registration number RC 395631 in November 2000 as a non-profit organization to promote sustainable community development initiatives through public-private partnerships.

Mission

To provide a platform for strategic private and public sector collaboration, aimed at promoting sustainable socio-economic development activities in communities.

New Nigeria Foundation was set up with initial funding from United Nations Foundation (UNF) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). At present, NNF mobilizes resources from international development and UN agencies, private and public institutions, federal and state governments and other sources that may be available to undertake development activities in Nigerian communities.

Composition

New Nigeria Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of six reputable professionals chaired by Dr. Pascal G. Dozie (CON) and assisted by Prof. (Mrs.) Grace Alele-Williams (OFR). The Foundation, under the leadership of the Managing Director/CEO, Professor Obafemi Ajibola, is staffed by professionals with key skills in programme design, development research, training, business development, project management, administration/finance and other activities of the Foundation.

Range of action

NNF has three offices in Nigeria located in Victoria Island, Lagos; Warri, Delta State and Kano. The Foundation has worked in 35 of the 36 states in Nigeria and in several sectors including human rights and security, health, agriculture, education, transportation, employment generation, energy and so on. 

Strategy

NNF employs the concept of public private partnerships to implement its projects. The Foundation currently implements productive and social sector development projects to reduce poverty, generate wealth, create jobs, respect for human rights, and improve health and general well-being at the community level in several states.  The strategy adopted in implementing these projects involves partnering with local organizations in projects implementation, engaging and partnering with local and state governments and implementing result-oriented, performance measuring systems to monitor and evaluate projects.
