About
Leadership Initiative for Transformation and Empowerment (LITE-Africa) is a Non Governmental Organization based in Nigeria, with a vision of creating a world in which the principles of democracy and human rights, guide the actions of governance in peace and development.
Mission
Our mission is to facilitate sustainable development, promote good governance and inclusiveness, through collaboration with other stakeholders in Nigeria and in the global arena. We do these in parts by:
- Creating awareness among the citizens to demand for accountability in institutions of governance.
- Promoting the rights of the citizens;
- Delivering programs that focus on economic development of the citizens;
- Maximizing all funding sources for sustainable growth and development;
- Remaining a credible knowledge driven organization in humanitarian crisis and health issues in Nigeria and beyond.
Action
LITE-Africa has continued to play a key role in bringing together different stakeholders from the public and private sectors in Nigeria and beyond, to promote issues of business and human rights, through its various programs and actions. The Organization also work with the government, security providers, community stakeholders and civil society organisations, in promoting good governance in Nigeria and beyond. LITE-Africa will continue to provide capacity building and policy reforms, toward integrating human rights into corporate operations, through its work with the various stakeholders in Nigeria and beyond.
